Viacom Down

Heh – wordplay.

So, we Time Warner customers almost lost 19 channels that Viacom provides because TWC thought they were too expensive. Fortunately, they settled this deal before any harm was done. As Bryan put it: we still get Comedy Central.

Time Warner is already my least favorite company that I still do business with. Damn natural monopoly. Had they allowed this debacle to proceed to its original conclusion, TWC would have boldly stepped into the "worst company ever" category. In case you're unaware, their customer service is akin to monkeys with typewriters, which you may have heard about.

Since my last blog, the NFL playoffs began to happen. If I'd been a little more "on the ball," I might have instituted a playoff pick 'em system through this blog. As it is, I'm afraid there's just no time. The first game starts in a few hours. I'd imagine most of you would pick the Panthers anyhow, so maybe it wouldn't have been worth it.

Also, since my last blog, Jenny won the regular season pick 'em league by a single game, which happened to be the final game of the season. So, that was entertaining. And congrats to her, though I've already told her that in person.

Question of the Day:

Which television channel do you watch most?

My take: Most decidedly ESPN, possibly followed by ESPN 2. I do watch a good deal of Discovery, though.

Happy Saturday.

  1. Comcast is much worse than TWC. I never thought it was possible but, believe me, it is. I watch channels that show sports the most.

  2. I just tried posting a comment and it didn't take. Sum it up, TWC sucks and I watch ESPN and TBS. Very Funny.

  3. In the land of cable I watch espn, discovery, or whichever channel has a game on. In the land of no cable I'm generally on NBC or Fox, unless Craig Ferguson is on...I should probably get cable
